A documentary film exploring several aspects of our society. If we wish to contemplate what could be created in this world, we have to decide what kind of a world we wish to live in. Although we refer to our world as civilisation, we are far from being civilised. Visions of global unity and community have long held a fascination for the humanity, yet none of the social orders have so far succeeded in creating a peaceful and productive world. We have achieved technical advances, yet our behaviour and our values have been stagnating. A possible bright future presents a stark contrast to the current social, economic and environmental issues. The film The Choice is Ours brings interviews with eminent scientists, media figures, authors and other researchers who are addressing the challenges we are facing. Trailer>
