Precarious employment, workers’ organising and the fourth industrial revolution

From the total of 804,600 individuals who work in the Republic of Slovenia today, 360,000 of us are precarious workers. We share four characteristics, regardless of education, gender, age or field of employment: Stress, Alienation, Doubt and Apathy. The contemplation of inequality is burgeoning and it is at last time to move it forward.

On 21st November in Kino Šiška, members of the precariat will meet with representatives of the Economic and Social Council and experts. The roundtable discussion will include State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour Peter Pogačar, President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Slovenia PERGAM Jakob Počivavšek, President of the Movement for Decent Work and Welfare Society Marko Funkl, Jože Mencinger, PhD, and Vesna Vuk Godina, PhD. Come and join in the discourse, as only contemplation and action count. Be part of the contemplation that will involve journalists, students, cultural employees as well as workers who are aware of the challenges of precarious work as the pressure on them increases from month to month.
