Indekš lekcija: RAKETKANON + Broken Lock

Worthy of their name, the Belgian foursome have been raging louder and louder through European clubs and festivals, thus giving great pleasure to fans of Jesus Lizard, At The Drive-In, Refused, Melvin and other enduring gems of noise rock, at the same time providing a continental response to younger noise rockers, the likes of Metz

Worthy of their name, the Belgian foursome have been raging louder and louder through European clubs and festivals, thus giving great pleasure to fans of Jesus Lizard, At The Drive-In, Refused, Melvin and other enduring gems of noise rock, at the same time providing a continental response to younger noise rockers, the likes of Metz or Girl Band. It gives us great joy that the explosive cannon has now targeted Slovenia, where their rockets will be set to go off at three different venues. There to break into the lock will be the seasoned prog/post/hard/core rock band Broken Lock from Črnomelj.

Raketkanon (come in hard, shock, entertain, repulse and attract. After releasing their debut-album RKTKN#1, the band has been crushing stages all over Europe, and in July 2014, they went camping in Chicago’s infamous Electrical Audio Studio, to record their 2nd album (RKTKN#2) with Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, Neurosis, The Jezus Lizard, …).

Down tuned guitars, blasting drumbeats, deformed vocals and droney bass synths, coupled with an ear for great songs, make Raketkanon without a doubt one of the most interesting bands in the European underground-scene today.

Raketkanon grabs you by the neck, drags you violently out of your comfort-zone, gets in your face and leaves an impression you won’t be able to forget any time soon.
