Jure Daić can hold his breath underwater for 7 minutes. You are invited to last a little longer at the premiere of the Till Breath Do Me Part documentary.

Till Breath Do Me Part is a new feature length documentary by award-winning director and diver Haidy Kancler. The film tells the story of the first Slovenian to dive 101 meters deep with just one breath, one of the ten best freedivers in the world.

Jure Daić, civil engineer, father of two, husband, friend and son, familiar with how fleeting life is since losing his brother, decided to push his own limits while raising the depth limit. In the ancient Greek discipline of skandalopetra, where a diver dives using only a rock and bathing suit, he sank to a depth of 111 metres with just one breath, deeper than anyone before him. The path “into the depths” forced him to overcome the power of nature, the human factor, responsibility and his own fear. The observational documentary invites us to relive the accomplishment with both the bitterness and the beauty of the world above and below the surface.

The film will be shown with English subtitles.
