The premiere of Gašper Kunšek's Urban Heat solo dance performance, planned for 8th December 2018, has been postponed to 24th January 2019 due to injury. We wish Gašper a speedy recovery.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!

In the days leading up to the fifth MENT Ljubljana festivala, two of its familiar faces will pay a visit to Šiška. First, Croatian Ivan Ščapec, the founder of Vlasta Popić and Seine, will present his most intimate side, the Eine solo project. Afterwards, Serbian indie folk group Stray Dogg, beloved by Devendra Banhart, will play their brand new album Look At The Moon.

The authors of the whistling hit "Young Folks" off of the exceptional Writer's Block album in Slovenia for the first time! The Swedish trio, who "have been releasing glorious indie-pop music that has a playful bounce and slightly sombre lyrics" (Clash Magazine) for nearly 20 years will present their eighth album Darker Days, their strongest since the above-mentioned predecessor according to Pitchfork.

In April, Viennese alter pop star Soap&Skin will envelop us in melancholic darkness. Upon her return to Šiška, she will present her new album – “another extraordinary set of songs” (The Quietus), her first new album in six years, during which she recorded “Goodbye”, the opening credits song of Netflix’s series Dark, with Apparat, as well as paid an emotional tribute to David Bowie alongside Anna Calvi, Lætitia Sadier and Jeanne Added.

After performing at Križanke in 2012 with cult jazz trio The Thing, Neneh will visit us with her own band for the first time. As many as 53 highly varied zines by international authors were submitted to this year's ZINE 4 VITRINE | 4th International Zine Open Call, organised by Kino Šiška and the DobraVaga Gallery. This proves beyond a doubt that contemporary DIY culture is an important part of creativity and our everyday. The zine’s appeal lies in the possibility for anyone to understand and explore it in his or her own way. Zines therefore occupy an important position in the variety of various stories and our understanding of society.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!

Austrian trio Elektro Guzzi, who astounded us at the first MENT Ljubljana festival by playing techno live on a guitar, bass and drums, is coming back with a new album. Polybrass drastically expands and amps up the band’s sound with the help of three heavy-weight trombonists, also familiar from bands such as The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, Sand and Zeitkratzer. The upcoming concert will of course feature the brass section as well.
