A new major star of the Italian music scene.

FOR FANS OF: Rosalía, Tarta Relena, Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino

With her second album Furèsta, La Niña has unleashed a storm that rose from Naples, swept across Italy, and will roar into the Slovenian capital this May. This is an invitation to step into a world where ancient traditions are reimagined in bold, contemporary colours.

La Niña is the artistic moniker of the exceptionally gifted singer-songwriter Carola Moccia, who fuses traditional Neapolitan roots with modern electronic elements to create a sound that is at once steeped in heritage and boldly forward-looking. Her music is built on intricate five-part vocal harmonies, distinctive instrumentation and complex polyrhythms, resulting in mesmerising performances brimming with energy, movement and undeniable magnetism.

Sung entirely in the Neapolitan dialect, La Niña’s songs transcend language, carrying joy, strength, tenderness and raw intensity far beyond words. On stage, heritage becomes movement, rhythm becomes ritual, and the audience is swept into a shared, electrifying experience.

This is an album full of animals — very wild ones. Furèsta is a word my mother often used when I was little to describe the nature of our cats. An adjective which, when I think about it now, says a great deal about me too… For me, La Niña is the origin. It is the first spark, the instinct that survives every transformation — an untouched corner of myself that has never stopped singing.

Sold-out large-scale shows, critical acclaim as Italy’s Album of the Year, and a digital audience numbering in the hundreds of thousands all point in the same direction: La Niña will make history as the first Italian artist to headline the Druga Godba festival.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Slovenia and the Italian Cultural Institute in Ljubljana

Nusantara Beat (NL/ID)

FOR FANS OF: Altın Gün, Yīn Yīn, gamelan

Missing Altın Gün already? You won’t have to wait much longer. Enter Nusantara Beat, the latest sensation to emerge from Amsterdam’s ever-restless music scene. While some of today’s celebrated acts continue to mine the riches of Turkish psychedelia, Nusantara Beat turn their gaze towards Indonesian roots, weaving an exhilarating tapestry of hypnotic folk melodies, vintage Indo-pop, pulsating psychedelic grooves and contemporary sonic textures.

After rapidly building a reputation through mesmerising live performances and a string of acclaimed 7-inch releases on Bongo Joe Records, Nusantara Beat found a home with the renowned Glitterbeat label, which released their self-titled debut album last year. Since then, critical praise has come thick and fast.

The name Nusantara Beat refers to the sounds and rhythms of the Indonesian archipelago. Fronted by a singer performing in Indonesian, the band explores the complexities of modern love through lyrics infused with a bittersweet pop sensibility. This emotional core is perfectly matched by Megan de Klerk’s beautifully delicate vocals, while shimmering guitar riffs draw on the legacy of traditional gamelan orchestras, creating a hypnotic atmosphere that feels both timeless and alive.

Nusantara Beat is the sound of a truly distinctive musical collective, carving out their own path with striking freshness, while allowing echoes of folk history to resonate across the decades.

Gino Groeneveld (also known from Altın Gün) – percussion
Jordy Sanger – guitar
Megan de Klerk – vocals
Michael Joshua Yonata – bass
