In the Comic Dialogues series of talks, we bring together pairs of local comics creators to explore their key influences and sources of inspiration.
The opening conversation will feature Ivan Mitrevski and Matej de Cecco, who will discuss their comic heroes – from the artists who shaped them most, to the comics they still “borrow” from today and the masterpieces they secretly wish they had drawn themselves.
About the authors:
Ivan Mitrevski (1979) is an illustrator and comic artist whose works are aimed primarily at a younger audience. His work is characterised by his distinctive humour, and he also doesn’t shy away from pressing social topics.
Matej de Cecco (1979) is an illustrator and comic artist best known as the co-creator of the legendary Šnofi’s Gang. Since 2008, he has formed one of Slovenia’s most prolific and witty comic tandems with writer Boštjan Gorenc – Pižama.
