Join us on an exciting and instructive musical voyage through the mysterious world of quantum physics! Within the framework of the Quantum Music project, which was conceived when Serbian music genius and Oxfordian quantum science collided over a shot of homebrewed rakia, LP Duo will communicate with the quantum world in a spectacular piano concert combining classical elegance, jazz freedom and rock ‘n’ roll power. And before that, you can catch the audiovisual concert Centaure at Slovenska kinoteka in cooperation with the SONICA Festival.
For more than a decade, LP Duo, whose members were also active in the acclaimed Serbian rock groups Jarboli and Ola Horhe, has experimented with the endless possibilities of performing on two pianos. In doing so, they developed a particular style, New Classical Groove & Beyond, and became one of the most successful European piano duos, erasing the borders between a chamber ensemble and a rock band.
The Quantum Music project brings together leading scientists, engineers and artists from all over the world, including Professor Vlatko Vedral, author of Decoding Reality. The main objective of the project is to bring the imaginary principles of quantum physics closer to a wide audience through the most imaginative of all arts — music. Breaking down the barriers between art and science, the multimedia concept unites the mysterious worlds of quantum physics and music for the first time. Utilising specially developed technology in a spectacular multimedia performance, LP Duo will communicate with the quantum world at a select handful of European dates, which include the Dutch TodaysArt Festival, the Royal Danish Theater – and Kino Šiška. Join us and hear how the quantum world will respond.
