Our most prominent drummer and percussionist is returning to Kino Šiška with a new project featuring subtle original music. As well as the name of his ensemble, December Soul is the album that Kaučič recorded two yeas ago with Stefano Battaglia on piano and Paolino dalla Porta on double bass, and was released on the agile Polish label Not Two Records.
The instrumental contributions of Zlatko Kaučič, Stefano Battaglia and Paolino dalla Porta result in a unique experience, the three proving an excellent and very well trained trio (Goran Kompoš, Mladina). Or, according to Andrej Hočevar (Radio Študent), in his project December soul, Kaučič proves to be a skilful composer and an unobtrusive percussionist whose carefully chosen and focused accents ensure the required tension.
