We can hardly believe it’s been more than two years since their notorious three-day Ljubljana Tour and five years since their last appearance at Kino Šiška. In the meantime, Repetitor matured, the pandemic arrived and everything changed. However, the band haven’t softened at all, retaining their distinctly powerful, weapons-grade garage sound and razor-sharp lyrical expressiveness on their fourth album Prazan prostor među nama koji može i da ne postoji (Moonlee Records, 2020).
With rave reviews from all around the world, the album has cemented their position as one of the most essential post-Yugoslav bands of the last 30 years, inspiring scores of young Serbian and Balkan artists to give it a try. A transgenerational post-Yugoslav phenomenon moving crowds as far away as Russia and China, Repetitor are synonymous with Balkan sex appeal, onstage mayhem and body-warping walls of sound.
The opening act of the night will be the rising Belgrade-based garage rock/post-punk talents Proto Tip, who are coming to present their upcoming debut album in Ljubljana, at Repetitor’s behest.
