Colder days, but hot power metal hearts – that’s how we can already describe the upcoming power metal event that will feature cult German riffers Primal Fear and legendary American power metal maniacs Riot V.
Primal Fear are the German answer to Judas Priest, Accept squared, Manowar on speed! They’re so metal, they most certainly have their own element in the periodic system, in the heavy metals section. The band was formed 21 years ago by the former member of the legendary Gamma Ray, Ralph Scheepers, who actually even auditioned for Judas Priest. But the gods of metal wanted Ralph to walk his own path, and thus was born the cult German power metal band who has left its Teutonic mark on the world, including Slovenia. Ralph won’t come alone – he’ll be accompanied by the one and only bass guitar madman Mat Sinner, the leader of the legendary Sinner. The band also includes Tom Naumann (Sinner), Alex Beyrodt (Jorn) and Francesco Jovino (Edge of Forever). Their songs are metal, their lifestyle is metal, everything about Primal Fear is METAL!
They’ll be joined by one of the oldest and strongest bands in the world, the American Riot, now known as Riot V in its fifth incarnation. The authors of albums such as Privilege of Power and Thundersteel are one of the most well-known bands on the scene, with excellent songs and great musicians. These include the oldest member of Riot, guitarist Mike Flyntz, bassist Don Stavern, who once played in the cult S. A. Slayer, guitarist Nick Lee of Moon Tooth, vocalist Todd Michael Hall of Jack Starr’s Burning Starr and drummer Frank Gilchriest of Liege Lord and Virgin Steel. Fuckin’ A! They’ll present their amazing vision of American power metal, as well as their current album Armor of Light.
