After a percussive childhood and a rocking youth, Giovanni Portaluppi focused on exploring sound design and experimentation, then began producing electronic music on his iPad.
He returned from a lengthy journey around Chile in 2018 as John Bringwolves and, influenced by the likes of Four Tet, Jamie xx, Burial and Aphex Twin, began making dreamy original music that draws on his colourful past – from blues guitars and ambient synths to an uptempo drum machine, from old samples to street sounds and visual art.
Summer in Šiška is a series of free evening concerts, helping you chase away the social distancing blues. If the weather cooperates, we’ll cool off with a refreshing drink on the summer terrace of Café Kino Šiška, and if it looks to be raining, we’ll listen to good tunes in accordance with applicable public health regulations beneath the roof of our Komuna Hall. Welcome to your Summer in Šiška!
