Evelina Hägglund: SO BRIGHT IT SHUT OUT THE SUN

solo exhibition series

The exhibition titled So Bright It Shut Out the Sun presents the new piece by artist Evelina Hägglund. Thirteen aluminium objects form an installation together: in the pieces Shadow of the Drone I-XII, the shadows cast during a flight simulation of a drone in the artist’s studio reach the ground as entirely material objects with their own weight and volume. The sculpture titled Overexposed Sun was made based on a photograph of the sun, in which the overexposure or the overabundance of sunlight produces an eclipse of its own image.

You can find out more about the exhibition here.
