The pilot edition of the new series Fieldwork, which occupies a different non-gallery space with each iteration, takes a closer look at bomb shelters.
Within this space, the artists explore survival strategies and ways of retreating from reality. The bomb shelter is dystopian in its separation from the present and, at the same time, utopian precisely in its orientation towards refuge. As it is located underground, it is right next to the reality taking place on the ground, yet simultaneously completely detached from everyday life.
