Backed by a full band, Italian musician Nic T moves between the jazzy prog rock fusion of late 1960s Canterbury, freak folk, and cosmic psychedelia.
The lavish arrangements draw inspiration from the delicate ballads of Elliott Smith, the sonic obliqueness of Sonic Youth, and the skewed sophistication of Beck, Nic T leaves his musical structures wide open, relying on pure spontaneity and freedom. Using tape recordings, prepared guitars, and altered voices, he crafts emotional panoramas where intense, at times grotesque lyrics recount everyday impressions suspended between rawness and imagination.
Summer in Šiška is a series of free evening concerts, from July 1 until September 19, helping you chase away the social distancing blues. If the weather cooperates, we’ll cool off with a refreshing drink on the summer terrace of Café Kino Šiška, and if it looks to be raining, we’ll listen to good tunes beneath the roof of our Komuna Hall. Welcome to your Summer in Šiška!
Free entry.
Organisation: Kino Šiška & Café Kino Šiška.
