On the tenth anniversary of the film Killbillies (Idila), which some consider to have gone down in Slovenian film history as “the first true Slovenian horror,” we’re hosting a very special evening at Kino Šiška on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, starting at 7 pm.

Before the screening, you’ll have the chance to attend – and take part in – an in-depth discussion with the actors and other creators of the film, moderated by Pia Nikolič. After the film, discover the dark side of jazz, when the Horror Jazz Band, led by Davor Herceg, takes over the Katedrala Hall with interpretations of familiar themes from classic and contemporary horror films, including Killbillies. Their repertoire will also feature other iconic scores such as Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, Halloween, Psycho, and more.

To make the anniversary even more memorable, the first 100 ticket buyers at the Kino Šiška box office will receive a set of Killbillies comics illustrated by acclaimed Slovenian author Zoran Smiljanič.

Schedule:
6:30 PM – Doors open and refreshments
7:00 PM – Talk / Conversation
8:00 PM – Screening of the film Idila
