Uncompromising British duo Sleaford Mods are set to return to Ljubljana, bringing their idiosyncratic blueprint of minimal electronic beats and maximalist social critique back to the Šiška stage with their brand-new album.

FOR FANS OF: The Fall, Viagra Boys, Shame …

Crashing into post-recession Britain with the fury of the disaffected working class, Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn aka Sleaford Mods soon found their outspoken social critique resonated far beyond their country’s borders. With Williamson’s signature sprechgesang delivering piercingly witty commentary over Fearn’s minimalist beats, Sleaford Mods won over a global audience and embarked on a career that has seen the guitarless punks play stages around the world, release a number of highly acclaimed albums, and collaborate with the likes of The Prodigy, Hot Chip, and Amyl and the Sniffers.

At their most elemental level, Sleaford Mods are driven by the tension between Fearn’s urgent beats and Williamson’s machine gun diction, a combination that has turned their DIY aesthetic into a creative manifesto for a generation. Their latest album, 2026’s The Demise of Planet X, eschews typical apocalyptic tropes to instead chart the slowly rising tide of irritating mundanity and cultural entropy. Recorded in legendary spaces like Abbey Road, the new material sees the duo expanding their sonic palette and including guests such as Aldous Harding, soul singer Liam Bailey, and even actress Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones, Severance) providing a gloriously unhinged counterpoint to Williamson’s reflections on the music scene.

Whether satirising performative patriotism or pricking the bubbles of toxic masculinity, Sleaford Mods remain a vivid, varied, and alive force. Don’t miss the chance to witness this universal cry of anger and release as the lads push back against the encroaching cultural darkness on our stage.
