ARTISTS PER MONTH | Vid Koprivšek and Matej Mihevc

exhibition

The November exhibition of the Artist per Month programme presents the work of two artists, Vid Koprivšek and Matej Mihevc. The project, which spans a series of dioramas and reflects the formal characteristics of toy displays, implicates the hypothetical unbridled expansion and mutation of the toy market. Taking into account the post-internet shift of the function of photo-documentation, the exhibition morphs into a miniature, which supplants any full-scale realisation.

He is the recipient of the UL ALUO Prešeren Award for his bachelor’s thesis. He participated in the group exhibitions Terminal Drift at MoTA LAB (2022), No White Canvas at the Bank of Slovenia Gallery (2020) and Fresh Fish: #aquarium at DobraVaga (2022), designed several graphic images for a series of theoretical lectures and music albums, and received an UL ALUO award in 2017/18.
