About the appointMENT 10 exhibition

The appointMENT project was launched in 2016 with the aim of reviving and exploring the very form of the music-art poster and expanding the visual programme of the MENT festival. Each year, selected artists are assigned one of the musical performers of the festival, with their music serving as the main source of inspiration for the creation of the poster. The exhibition will showcase the unique collection of limited-edition music and art posters, produced using the selected technique.

In the 10th edition of the project, we’ll focus on closer collaboration between selected artists and musicians. The call is open to young visual artists up to the age of 40 who reside and/or work in Slovenia. Artists create a digital version of the poster, and we handle the printing at the DobraVaga gallery. After the selection, the artists will receive instructions on how to design and prepare their posters for the selected technique. As compensation, participants receive a festival ticket for MENT, covering the entire festival programme. 

Submission deadline: midnight on 5th December 2025. “We will inform applicants of the call results by email on 12th December  2025.

The application should contain: 

• Art portfolio/a document with a collection of works demonstrating your current artistic practice, with all information about the works (title, year, technique, and dimensions). 
• Submit it in a unified PDF document titled: name_surname_portfolio_appointMENT;
• The document should be an appropriate size to attach to the application email. Portfolios sent via WeTransfer, Google Drive, or other links will not be considered. 
• Short CV
• Include your full name and contact information (email and phone number), education, a list of exhibitions, and other projects you have participated in;
• Link to a website or social network profile featuring your collected works, if applicable, with the link clearly defined; 
• Submit in .pdf format with the title: name_surname_CV_appointMENT
