Tinta Comics Festival is again hosting a comics artist as part of its residency programme in Ljubljana. Young Ukrainian artist Bohdana Zaiats will create a new comics zine for the festival.
She will debut it at a solo exhibition at the DobraVaga Gallery. In her comics and zines she reflects on moments from her personal life that inspire her poetic and political thinking. Her works respond both to the ongoing war in Ukraine and to the situations in which she currently finds herself.
Bohdana Zaiats (2002) is a Ukrainian artist and a student of philosophy and art. She favours publishing her art, comics, and zines online as @my_pet_spider. She publishes short comics in international anthologies and magazines such as Stripburger, kuš!, Strapazin and Moga Mobo. She lives and works in Prague.
