ARTIST PER MONTH: Mojca Radkovič: To Catch a Shooting Star

exhibition

Mojca Radkovič enters a personal theater in her exhibition To Catch a Shooting Star, where dreams of possible realities are endless. The exhibition encourages questioning the game and the possibilities it offers us. It also establishes a link between the past and the present, by which we enter back through the imagination into what we dreamed of as children. Radkovič collaborated with the artist Lana Pastirk in the work Pregibanica.

Mojca Radkovič (1995) is a philosopher and visual artist. She studied at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana and at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. She is currently finishing her master’s degree, and she participated in exchanges at Universidade do Porto, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and at Venice International University. In 2019, as part of the Izodraz project, she received an award as a young emerging artist. In 2021, she received recognition from the University of Ljubljana for her work in the field of extracurricular activities. In 2023, she spent half a year in artist residencies at the Footnote Center for Image & Text and KC Grad & Gradska Galerija in Belgrade, Serbia. In October 2023, she enrolled in transmedia artistic approaches at the PHMuseum.

Mojca creates in a variety of media, including photography, video and installation art, exploring themes such as growing up, memory, nostalgia and triviality through observation of nature and poetic narrative. She establishes the spaces of what has already been and what will be. Her works have been exhibited both in Slovenia and abroad.
