Intermedia artist Edina Muftić mainly creates 3-D computer-generated videos, virtual spaces and digital graphics, which are often located at the intersection of art and video games. The project Inventing Ourselves as We Go Along consists of several avatars with which the artist explores new technologies and representations of bodies online. Awkward interactions and uncertain bodies mix with strange and absurd situations that reflect new realities.
Edina Muftić (1996) is a student of Video and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. In 2019, she received a student award at the 25th International Festival of Computer Arts (MFRU) in Maribor for her work Biophilia in the Field of Virtual Art. In 2020, she received a student award at the 26th MFRU for her work Botanics in the Field of Virtual Art.
