Join Rebeka Lukošus and Vivianna Maria Stanislavska for a zine workshop!
Swoosh! Plok plak plak plok! Surprise! Can you hear and see the nature around you? Is it calling you? Come and create a comics zine using unusual materials from nature (and maybe even become one with it). Every participant will receive their own issue of the zine.
The workshop takes place in alongside the exhibition Back to Nature by the Latvian comics publisher kuš! and is free.

Duration: approx. 2–3 hours. The workshop will be held in English.
Rebeka Lukošus (1995) is a visual artist from Riga. She mostly illustrates children’s books and draws comics. Sometimes she likes to turn her drawn characters into sculptures. Last year, her picture book Rebellious Grandpa was published in Latvia and now it’s being translated to Korean.
Vivianna Maria Stanislavska (1992) is a visual artist based in Riga, taking on various projects in illustration, design, comics and animation. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in printmaking in 2016 and a master’s in 2020. In 2016, she received the Young Growth Prize for her debut book, Noisy Classroom, which was later published in English and Estonian. Since 2020, she has been filling in a teaching position for animation and multimedia design at a vocational high school in Riga. Whenever she has free time, Vivianna observes birds and other creatures.
