The supreme sonic youth player has after the termination of activities of his parent band in collaboration with the British guitarist Sedwardsem activated the band, which consists also of the drummer of Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine’s bass player!

With current European tour they present the new album The Best Day, which was released in October last year for Matador.

Thurston Moore moved to NYC at 18 in 1976 to play punk. He started Sonic Youth in1980. He edited the music and literary fanzines KILLER, Sonic Death, and Ecstatic Peace Poetry Journal and started the Ecstatic Peace records + tapes label. He is senior editor of Ecstatic Peace Library, the poetry imprint Flowers & Cream and has edited books at Rizzoli and Abrams. He has been on faculty at the Naropa University summer writing program since 2011.
His own writings have been published through various imprints.

He has worked collaboratively with Yoko Ono, Merce Cunningham, Cecil Taylor, Rhys Chatham, Lydia Lunch, John Zorn, Takehisa Kosugi and Glenn Branca. He has composed music for films by Olivier Assayas, Gus Van Sant, and Allison Anders. He presently records and tours both solo, with various ensembles and with his own band. His most recent recording The Best Day was released by Matador Records October 2014. Thurston resides in London.

Lovely Quinces

Dunja Ercegovic released her first songs to public in late 2012 under the name Lovely Quinces. “Wrong house” started a huge buzz in Croatia in February 2013., and many shows soon followed. She played her first show in March 2013 and then 35 shows in total during 2013. Her songs so far have over 300,000 views combined on Youtube, an amazing number for young artist in this small Eastern European region.

Her first EP “No room for us” was released in September 2013 (5 songs) to rave reviews in the region and was named record of the year by the poll of 20 most important Croatian music critics. She supported Kurt Vile & The Violators, Omar Torrez, Tame Impala, Morcheeba and many others in the past year. She played at SXSW, Canadian Music Week, Indie Week Toronto, Waves Vienna and many other festivals and conferences in the past 18 months.

First ever official video, for the song “Wrong House”, was released in February 2014. Lovely Quinces graced the cover of Croatian Rolling Stone magazine in April 2014. Currently Dunja is writing songs for her first full lenght release, expected later this year. Two singles; “Secret Smile” and “M”, were release in the fall last year to announce the new record. Lovely Quinces will be touring throughout both Europe and US in the second part of 2015.
