On Saturday, the 11th of July, the Center of urban culture Kino Šiška in Ljubljana will host punk icons. The Damned, legendary pioneers of British punk rock and originators of gothic rock, are coming to Slovenia to take over the hall in Kino Šiška with their unstoppable energy.

The Damned are considered key co-creators of music history. They were the first British punk band to release a single (“New Rose”), the first to release a full-length album (“Damned Damned Damned”), and the first to cross the Atlantic and bring punk to the United States. Through decades of activity, they laid the foundation for gothic rock with a dark, melodic aesthetic, and their live performances are still considered explosive and unpredictable.

Visitors to Kino Šiška can expect a walk through a rich five-decade career that includes timeless anthems such as “Neat Neat Neat”, “Eloise”, “Smash It Up” and “Love Song”, as well as material from their more recent, critically acclaimed releases. Led by charismatic singer Dave Vanian and guitar virtuoso Captain Sensible, the band proves that their punk spirit is as sharp and unyielding today as it was in 1976.

Don’t miss an evening of pure rock history and uncompromising energy. The number of tickets for the concert spectacle in the Šiška Cinema is limited.

Tickets on sale on Thursday, May 21 at 10 am.
