At the third edition of Comic Dialogues, we’re hosting a formidable trio: two illustrators and a screenwriter who are no strangers to working together. Miha Hančič, Ivan Mitrevski, and Maša Ogrizek will reveal which authors, comics, and aesthetics connect, divide, thrill, and inspire them in their comic book endeavours.
Miha Hančič (1986) aka miha ha is an illustrator and comics artist. His drawn worlds are cheerful and colourful, bursting at the seams with numerous witty details. He frequently collaborates with writer Maša Ogrizek, with whom he has created several popular children’s comic series in recent years.
Ivan Mitrevski (1979) is an illustrator and comics artist who skilfully weaves his signature humour and social criticism into his works for the young (and old). In addition to several original comics, he is the illustrator behind the comic Riba na suhem (Fish Out of Water), based on a script by Maša Ogrizek, with whom he also shares an editorial desk at the children’s magazine Galeb.
Maša Ogrizek (1973) is a young adult writer who’s equally at home among comic speech bubbles and panels. She enjoys incorporating unusual, slightly quirky characters into her work, as she finds immense joy in their company. Her writing is characterised by wordplay and warm humour.
