After a long wait and a cancelled concert that left a void in our 2023 calendar, the fearlessly curious trio Son Lux finally returns to Šiška for the first time since their memorable 2018 performance. This time, the band enters our Katedrala Hall stronger than ever, with prestigious awards under their belt and a brand-new album.

For two decades, Son Lux have functioned as a sonic lab where established assumptions about music-making are deconstructed at a molecular level. The band’s expression, ranging from raw emotional intimacy and delicate electronic construction, knows no genre boundaries. From the solo beginnings of composer and driving force Ryan Lott to the current synergy of the trio, where each member is simultaneously a writer, producer, and master of improvisation, the band has built a unique musical identity rooted in constant curiosity and the balance of opposites.
Since their last visit to Šiška, Son Lux have expanded their influence deep into the realm of cinema. After receiving a pair of Oscar nominations for the score to Everything Everywhere All at Once, they left their sonic mark on the Marvel spectacle Thunderbolts* (2025) and the upcoming project Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother (2026). Their eclectic nature has led to collaborations with stars such as David Byrne, Moses Sumney, and Poppy, while the band members simultaneously developed various solo projects, such as Sisyphus, featuring Lott alongside Sufjan Stevens and Serengeti.
In the coming year, Son Lux return from film sets to their primary habitat: the stage. The world tour following the release of their upcoming ninth studio album, Out Into, promises a hypnotic journey through digital orchestras and pulsing rhythms. We’ll finally experience what was promised to us: collective musical bliss in the company of one of the most versatile and talented bands of our time.
