Prismojeni Profesorji Bluesa are returning to Šiška – familiar faces of Slovenian stages, terraces, pavements, and just about any piece of land where a good band can play good music. They’ll be delivering a lesson in old-school musicianship, backed by a brand-new album and a selection of guest performers.
FOR FANS OF: Tedeschi Trucks Band, BB King, Gov’t Mule …
Prismojeni Profesorji Bluesa aka the Wacky Blues Professors are a band and a group of friends who have spent more than a decade proving that blues can be raw, honest, and wildly fun. The line-up consists of Julijan Erič (guitar, vocals), Miha Ribarič (bass), Zlatko Djogić (drums, vocals), and Aleš Uhan (keyboards). Their concerts are never just gigs, but full-blown musical road trips – or, more accurately, outright rodeos.
After three released albums and a period of creating music in Slovene, the Professors are returning to their roots with a set of original songs in English that lean more closely into blues tradition. Some of the new tracks are already making their way onto radio playlists, while others will be heard live for the very first time at their Kino Šiška concert.
The Professors are returning to our venue in April for a major show packed with guests, surprises, and long improvisations – in short, everything fans of 1960s and 70s music (as well as more contemporary sounds) could wish for. “A hippie gathering,” some might say, while others are already polishing their dancing shoes. This time, Julijan’s amplifier can go all the way up to 12, and Aleš has replaced his organ speaker with an antique wardrobe.
Expect the unexpected.
