The Ljubljana Central Market is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage, as well as an archaeological site and an urban complex with important historical layers.
At this event, we’ll present an ethnological and anthropological look into life in this space, based on research carried out in the autumn by students of ethnology and cultural anthropology. Through the presentation of the collected ethnographic material, we’ll shed light on the complex relationships that shape the urban space and the usage of Vodnik Square today.
Organisation: Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, and DobraVaga / Kino Šiška.
The event is co-funded by the ISF Fund of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, within the framework of institutional funding.
Free admission.
