P.O.D + Alien Ant Farm

+ Dead Girls Academy

Get ready for a blast from the past on 12 November, as the cult bands P.O.D. and Alien Ant Farm will shake Kino Šiška.

You know P.O.D. as the multi-platinum, extremely popular 1990s American band who rose to fame through their own concerts and tours, as well as through numerous nominations for awards such as the Grammy etc. Who hasn’t heard of singles such as “Southtown”, “Alive”, “Youth of the Nation”, “Boom”, “Beautiful” and their most famous one, “Lost in Forever”? If you haven’t heard them on the radio, you undoubtedly caught them on film soundtrack. P.O.D., formed by Sonny Sandoval (vocals), Marcos Curiel (guitar riffing), Traa Daniels (bass) and Wuv Bernardo (smashing the drums), come from San Diego and have released eight studio albums so far. If you though they vanished in the meantime, you though right – but they were still active on the scene, collaborating with names such as Katy Perry, H.R. (Bad Brains), Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies) and Sen Dog (Cypress Hill).

The news of P.O.D.’s return to Europe this autumn has apparently been met with widespread approval, and concerts everywhere are selling out like hot cakes.

This is undoubtedly in part also due to Alien Ant Farm, the band known to most for their excellent cover of Michael Jackson’s hit “Smooth Criminal”, but one that has much much more to offer. Five albums, hit singles, a few platinum awards and of course, video game and movie soundtrack immortality. The band have been active since 1996 and boldly named their debut Greatest Hits, then won over stages and listeners with the help of Papa Roach.

The evening will be opened by American gothic rockers Dead Girls Academy, protégés of the famed Victory Records.

On 12 November at Kino Šiška in Ljubljana, don’t forget!
