PASSENGER

+ Igor Božanić

Passenger, a global star and the author of one of the most viewed videos on YouTube of all time, the song “Let Her Go” with 3 billion views and counting, is coming to Šiška! Due to exceptional interest and limited capacity, we advise you to get your ticket early. We’ll warm up with talented youth Igor Božanić, who is considered a real gem among singer-songwriters in our area.

The event is postponed from 4 July to 18 July 2022. All purchased tickets are of course valid for the postponed events with new dates announced already. If the new date does not suit you or if the event has been cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of your purchase.

Please follow the refund procedure HERE.

Three billion views. THREE BILLION. A number that’s hard to imagine, and we’re only talking about the official music video on YouTube, so without including various unofficial fan versions, Spotify streams, radio spins and the like. With his 2012 song “Let Her Go”, Englishman Mike Rosenberg aka Passenger wrote a truly monstrously good hit that catapulted him from street corners straight to the top 25 most viewed YouTube videos of all time – ahead of, for example, Adele, Shakira and, well, Crazy Frog –, opened the doors to the most esteemed concert venues, and sent him off touring around the world with Ed Sheeran, whom he had known since the latter’s teenage years.

But despite the phenomenal success and the immediate fulfilment of basically every musician’s dream, Passenger did not rest on his laurels. His discography encompasses 12 albums in as many years, reflecting not just his characteristic sincerity and consistency, but above all his constant development and exceptional understanding of indie folk songwriting. On his latest album Songs for the Drunk and Broken Hearted, whose release was delayed for a year due to the pandemic, the newly single artist tackles relationships falling apart and offers solace to all with a broken heart. He’ll console us live in July in Šiška.

As Sir Croissant, Belgrade-based singer-songwriter from Banjaluka Igor Božanić was one of the unexpected highlights of MENT 2019, cruising between folk music and lo-fi balladry. He has released several EPs and warmed up for Marissa Nadler in Zagreb, and in 2021, he headed into a new musical direction with his album Runo. Under his own name, he has begun making music in his native tongue, drawing inspiration from traditional melodies.
