The a cappella festival that we have known under the name Popjazziada is stepping into its 13th year with a new name – Ljubljana Vocal Festival.
The peak of the festival will happen on Sunday, October 13. The final night on the stage of Kino Šiška’s Katedrala will host vocal bands and masters of sound effects that will use technical and technological approaches to stretch the boundaries of the vocal cosmos and discover new dimensions of the human voice.

Ljubljana Vocal Festival is the only festival of its kind in Slovenia – with 4 events at 4 venues, it connects the 4 dimensions of vocal music – polished vocals, tight beats, inspiring stage performance and wicked effects.
In the 12 years of existence, the festival has grown from a concert of the most active Slovenian a cappella groups to an internationally acclaimed vocal music festival. In its 10th edition, it filled Ljubljana’s Kino Šiška hall to the last corner and last year it resounded at four different locations in Ljubljana with four musically diverse evenings. This year, with the new name, it’s expanding the understanding of the human voice beyond popular genres and vocal techniques and thus giving the vocal, this unique instrument, the leading role.
