Following their second album launch in Šiška’s Katedrala Hall, we’re delivering Jet Black Diamonds to Trieste – one of the most exciting names on the Slovenian music scene today. With their signature mix of indie rock, retro melodies, and irresistible choruses, the five-piece from the Vipava Valley masterfully weaves together generational nostalgia and fresh youthful energy.
They first turned heads in 2021 with the smash hit “Retro Anorak,” which was named Song of the Week on Val 202 radio and ranked among the year’s most played tracks. This was followed by their outstanding debut album Sladki problemi, which they unveiled at a sold-out show at Kino Šiška.
Their sound cleverly embellishes modern indie rock with catchy melodies, driven by sincere lyrics that draw from the personal experiences of the five musicians and the subtle turning points of daily life. This lends their performance a distinct, authentically felt signature, confirming their place among the leading acts of the new wave of Slovenian alt-pop.
Jet Black Diamonds will be supported by Trieste band Katana Koala Kiwi, who blend noisy post-rock and shoegaze in their sound.
