Swedish masters of melancholic metal, progressive nuances and crushing atmosphere Katatonia, are returning to Ljubljana, touring in support of their latest epic release.

FOR FANS OF: Anathema, Opeth, Paradise Lost …

We’re thrilled to welcome back the undisputed masters of Swedish melancholic metal, the legendary Katatonia, back to Ljubljana. Spanning over three decades of relentless artistic evolution under the guidance of founding members Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström, the collective stands as a towering beacon of heavy music, tuning their progressive craftsmanship to atmospheric depth and poignant emotional resonance.

From their early days shaping the contours of doom and death metal to defining milestones like Last Fair Deal Gone Down, The Great Cold Distance, and their latest masterpiece Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State, Katatonia have honed an unmistakable sonic identity. Built upon a foundation of crushing riffs, intricate rhythmic structures, and Renkse’s instantly recognizable, hauntingly clean vocals, their live show is far more than a heavy concert—it’s a cathartic, deeply immersive journey through shadows and bittersweet beauty that touches everyone.

Led by twin sisters Emmalia and Siobhan Conrad, Canadian band Bonnie Trash brew up a dark, hypnotic cocktail of drone pop, post-punk, and shoegaze. Their music draws heavily from Italian folklore, ancient superstitions, and personal heritage, transforming ancestral tales into cold, contemporary underground soundscapes. Driven by piercing guitar walls, driving rhythms, and potent vocals, their macabre storytelling has a sharp, intense edge to it.

Tickets on sale on Friday, November 6 at 11 am online and at Eventim outlets.

Organisation: Kino Šiška and KD Veseli dihurčki.
