In March, the colourful musical family Generator will present their new album. With no fear and plenty of curiosity, they wander through styles ranging from alternative rock, funk, blues, and folk rhythms to electronic experiments and improvisation.

Generator is a nine-member electro-acoustic musical collective creating within a genre-free sonic universe. Formed spontaneously in 2016 at the autonomous zone Sokolc in Novo mesto, today they captivate audiences with an eclectic fusion of styles, identities, and cultures. Their music bursts with energy, eccentricity, and unconditional love – something for everyone and someone for all.
The group is made up of nine members who form a colourful yet connected family – sometimes quite literally. Their line-up is unusual, sincere, and unrepeatable: singer Anina Trobec, her English partner Joseph Wheba, her mother’s husband Tomaž Zorko, his friend Primož Špelko, the friend’s son Maksim, three Turks, and one Cesar. This unique mix of cultures, generations, and personal stories directly shapes their sound, which combines unpredictable energy with carefully crafted sonic architecture. At the forefront are always emotions – often touching on themes of identity, community, unconditional love, inner struggles, and external absurdities.
In March, marking their 10th anniversary, they will unveil their new album Iluzije, which reflects on journeys through time and space, the reciprocal relationship between humans and the environment, and the questioning of the soul, values, and reality. At Kino Šiška, together with Generator, we’ll seek answers to the questions: what is reality and what is illusion? Where is the boundary, and how far can we safely cross it without getting burned or crashing to the ground?
