Under the influence of musicians such as José Gonzalez, Bon Iver, Nick Drake and Ben Howard, Frère started making music in 2011, and since the release of his EP Ghost in 2014, he has performed all over Germany and at numerous European festivals – among others, he has shared the stage with William Fitzsimmons, The KVB and Nina Hagen. For his upcoming debut album, he put together a proper band, but he will perform solo on our summer terrace.
The German with a French moniker sticks to a simple recipe. Vocals and an acoustic guitar, and let’s go! However, what separates him from the mass of like-minded youths is a pretty important characteristic – quality. With his first EP, Frère proved he sure can write an intense, melancholic, yet hope-filled song. He’ll visit our free Summer in Šiška cycle just ahead of the release of his full-fledged debut album in September.
Summer in Šiška is a series of free evening concerts, helping you chase away the summer boredom. If the weather cooperates, we’ll cool off with a refreshing drink on the summer terrace of Café Kino Šiška, and if it looks to be raining, we’ll listen to good tunes curled up on the couches in our lobby. Welcome to your Summer in Šiška!
Organisation: Café Kino Šiška and Kino Šiška.
