DITCH DAYS

+ čuvarkuća

For a laidback intro to the summer, we’re bringing Portuguese-Canadian band Ditch Days to Šiška. The promising indie trio, who have criss-crossed Europe with their catchy vibes, will present their 2023 album Blossom on their first visit to Slovenia. They’ll be joined by čuvarkuća, a fast-growing Croatian project, adorned with light-hearted melodies.

FOR FANS OF: Metronomy, Men I Trust, Toro y Moi …

After quickly breaking through on the Portuguese indie scene with their reverb-drenched debut studio album Liquid Springs, Ditch Days spent the following years touring Europe and releasing sharp one-off singles that would captivate the attention of listeners around the world, such as the hazy “Seth Rogen”.

In 2022, the band released their sophomore album Blossom, a collection of pop-infused songs composed between Lisbon, the Azores islands and Geneva. Now, they’re ready to present Blossom in European venues, and fill the stage with sing-along guitars, enveloping synths and head-shaking grooves.

Čuvarkuća is a project launched in 2021 by Hrvoje Dešić, a member of the now disbanded Osijek dream noise band Harvo Jay. It was from this disintegration that fertilised the album Curino Cvijeće, a musical herbarium on which Dešić and his backing band grow rosy melodies, dynamic transitions and catchy choruses. The well-received debut quickly took čuvarkuća to festivals such as Velvet and Tam Tam, as well as to Šiška in May.
