DadaDisko is coming to Kino Šiška – an innovative family-friendly concept that blurs the lines between club culture, contemporary art and technology.
Family-friendly clubbing gives parents the dancefloor back even with toddlers in tow, while opening the door to quality electronic music and creativity for the younger crowd. Let your imagination guide your outfit – the mirror ball and bubbles will be waiting for you.
Things will be lively behind the decks: the programme opens with a special selection by Raketa, making sure both little ones and their bigs enjoy curated electronic beats. Raketa’s musical flow is designed to remind parents of their best club nights, while irresistibly pulling children into movement. To really charge the dancefloor with energy, the Mini DJ Academy will take over the stage for an hour, proving live that age is no barrier to top-tier clubbing. Their performance blends childlike playfulness with professional execution, demonstrating why they’re seen as the future of the Slovenian electronic scene.
DadaDisko places active participation at its core. Alongside the dancefloor, creative stalls will invite visitors to make unique dance accessories, from glittered straps to futuristic bow ties, put on disco make-up, and co-shape the room by designing visual effects with the help of contemporary technology.
Aware that heading out with young ones can be a major undertaking, the organisers have adapted the schedule to a family-friendly rhythm. Doors open at 9.30, allowing for a slow and relaxed arrival, with the official dance programme running from 10am to 12.30 – just in time for lunch and the classic “one more song and then we’re off.” (Unofficially, things wrap up at 1pm.)
DadaDisko is a platform that encourages active leisure time through a blend of music, science and visual arts. The aim is to empower children in digital literacy and artistic expression, while offering parents a safe and inspiring space to relax. “DadaDisko is synonymous with family fun where boredom stays at home. If they’re not embarrassed to dance with you, they’re just the right age,” say mums Maša and Vesna, the creators of the project.
