Current 93, a legendary act that pioneered Hallucinatory Picnic Magic, shaped generations of avant-garde artists, and remains one of the most uncompromising musical forces of our time, shall finally skip into Šiška.
Kino Šiška is honoured to welcome one of the most influential, enigmatic, and singular acts in experimental music history – the unclassifiable explorers Current 93. Led by the visionary poet, painter, and musician David Tibet, the iconic family collective has spent over four decades crafting an unmistakable, haunting sonic universe where esoteric poetry, mysticism, girl-group pop, and unnerving chamber arrangements converge.
With over 20 albums released during their career, including seminal works such as Thunder Perfect Mind, Soft Black Stars, The Light Is Leaving Us All, and If A City Is Set Upon A Hill, Current 93 redefined the boundaries of underground music, merging raw energy with the intimate power of acoustic instrumentation. Tibet’s hypnotic vocal delivery guides listeners through landscapes of ancient masks, Christian gnosticism, utter light, and utter darkness, transforming every performance into a transcendent, deeply immersive experience rather than a mere concert. A most fitting congregation for our Katedrala Hall in March.
Tickets on sale on Monday, November 2 online and at Eventim outlets.
Organisation: Kino Šiška.
