The spatial arrangement in the gallery space establishes a dialogue between illuminated papers with carved texts and their cast shadows. Through the repetition of the cast shadows, the carvings form new ambivalent meanings and in turn form otherness, wordplay, reversal and tension.
Through the introduction of subtle changes in the structure of the texts and their placement in the space, the exhibition establishes an intimate atmosphere that thematises the confrontation with the consequences of hyperproduction, where the posed “question” resembles a conscious withdrawal, a search for ease and reassurance, which merges with the indifference of the “answer” of materialistic logic.
