The tenth edition of the commercial music poster exhibition appointMENT will take place this year.
Launched in 2016, the project was conceived with the aim of reviving and re-examining the very form of the music art poster, while also expanding the visual dimension of the MENT festival. Through the appointMENT project, we strive to broaden the understanding and potential of the music poster, while emphasising the importance of intersections and collaborations between different artistic fields. This year’s edition will focus on Slovenian musicians, with the posters produced using the giclée printing technique.
This year we again issued an open call to select 23 participating artists. Each of them was assigned one of the Slovenian music acts performing at this year’s MENT festival, with the artists drawing their primary inspiration for the posters from their music. The exhibition will present the resulting limited-edition music art posters.
