Andras Aron aka Apey has a very unique approach to songwriting and lyrics. Following in the footsteps of Neil Young, he is more like a storyteller with Eastern-European humor and self-expression. Bridging the gap between American folk/country music and grunge from the heart of Europe, his solo career is the result of his need to find a new way to express his struggles, from his childhood to his insomnia. We last met him at MENT Festival in 2017, and he’s released two excellent full-lengths since then, defining himself as an author and finding his own voice through his songs – it’s fragile, sensitive and real in every second.
Summer in Šiška is a series of free evening concerts, helping you chase away the social distancing blues. If the weather cooperates, we’ll cool off with a refreshing drink on the summer terrace of Café Kino Šiška, and if it looks to be raining, we’ll listen to good tunes in accordance with applicable public health regulations beneath the roof of our Komuna Hall.
