Experience an evening in the company of one of the most remarkable voices in recent years!
After touring Great Britain and the USA with David Byrne, the exceptional Benjamin Clementine has announced a special, one-time series of acoustic shows around Europe. In May and June 2019 we’ll thus be able to hear his passionate musical delicacies, especially unique this time, as they will take the form of intimate acoustic performances. The unique live experience titled “An Evening With Benjamin Clementine & His Parisian String Quintet” will feature five additional French musicians onstage, including Barbara Le Liepvre on the cello.
Accompanied by the string quartet, Clementine will perform songs off of his two critically acclaimed albums, the 2015 debut At Least For Now, which received the Mercury Music Prize, and the 2017 follow-up I Tell A Fly, which continued its predecessor’s success. NPR crowned Clementine “a musical George Orwell for our time”. It’s worth remarking that he has scheduled only 24 shows in May and June, and one of them will be on May 17 at Kino Šiška, where he had no trouble selling out the show in 2017.
