Liffe – the Ljubljana International Film Festival – has for many years been bringing to Ljubljana a curated selection of the finest achievements in global cinema, including award-winning films from major festivals such as Cannes, Rotterdam, Berlin, and Venice, while also highlighting the most important accomplishments of Slovenian filmmaking.
In Ljubljana, Liffe takes place from 12 to 23 November across seven festival venues (the Linhart and Kosovel Halls of Cankarjev dom, Kinodvor, the Slovenian Cinematheque, Kino Bežigrad, Kino Šiška, and the AGRFT Hall). Beyond the capital, the festival also reaches audiences across Slovenia through partner venues in Maribor (Maribox), Novo mesto (Anton Podbevšek Theatre), and Celje (Kino Union), ensuring that its film programme remains accessible to viewers throughout the country.
