We’ll delve into the comic book oeuvre of Miki Muster and take a closer look at Zvitorepec and his gang, who began their comic career as a band of robbers.
Later, they transform into brave adventurers, but their tendency toward violence and crime never completely leaves them. The lecture seeks to trace this development through the changing relationships, society, and the new narrative genres in which Muster places his heroes.
How does Zvitorepec move from an outcast’s den to a trendy little house? Why do the three friends behave so piratically in their hunt for the pirate? Is Trdonja justified in taking it out on Lakotnik?
Janez Grm, a literary critic and comparativist, will attempt to shed light on the tense relationships in Miki Muster’s comics.
