DIMITRIJE DIMITRIJEVIĆ

+ Eine

Upon his return to Šiška, Dimitrije Dimitrijević, the singer-songwriter’s alter-ego of the frontman of the band Igralom, will present his debut album Čar-pitanje with his seven-member orchestra.

As Dimitrije Dimitrijević, Dimitrije Simović, the bassist and singer of the popular Niš band Igralom, played more than 80 concerts in order to find his sound through collaborations with different accompanying musicians. During the project, more than 20 different musicians took turns on stages across the region, including the MENT Festival and the Summer in Šiška, which led to the rich, diverse sound of his debut album Čar-pitanje, released in 2020 by Menart. Dimitrij Dimitrijević’s lyrics on the “big album at the end of a miserable year” (Ravno do dna) are accompanied by a colourful music palette with elements of trip hop, blues, funk, synth pop, RnB, electronica, ambient music and more.

This time, Dimitrijević will present Čar-pitanje as we have never heard it before – with his seven-member orchestra, which also includes Sara Renar (synth, vocals), Vedran Peternel (soundscape), Viktor Slamnig (bass), Jakša Perković (guitar), Ivan Cimi Marinović (drums) and Leo Beslać (synth). A vinyl edition of the album will also be available at the concert at a promotional price.

Dimitrije will be accompanied by Ivan Ščapec as Eine. Ščapec, the founder of renowned regional bands Vlasta Popić and Seine, will join us for an intimate solo performance just a few days after the release of Seine’s long-awaited new album. As Eine, he last rocked us gently in Šiška ahead of Stray Dogg in 2019. Since then, he has released his takes on songs by Bon Iver and Kimya Dawson, and last year, he appeared alongside Dimitrijević on the Zagreb Calling – Generacija bez refrena compilation, which received the prestigious Croatian Porin Music Award.
