Torul used to be a solo project by author, producer and DJ Torulsson, but became a trio when their vocal debut album was released. The follow-up was released by German label Infacted, where Torul remains to this day. On the strength of their single Try, they turned many heads on the international synthpop/gothic scene, conquered the tops of numerous charts and performed a lot in Germany, England, Russia, Sweden, Poland, Austria, France and ex-YU countries.

At the moment, they are about to release their new, fifth album R=set, so named also due to the departure of the previous vocalist and the arrival of a new one – Jan Jenko was replaced this year by Maj Valerij, thus in a way resetting the band.

The first single from their latest album, to be released on 2nd September, is the melancholic dance song Saviour of Love, accompanied by a video directed by Nina Tratnik.

Even though Torul also regularly released singles and music videos via the DIY Initziative independent production company up to now, a lot of variety, imagination and playfulness is concealed in the albums that intertwine and explore the musical influences of various genres within their characteristic melancholy, often moving away from clear genre boundaries. At the cinema, they will present their new album, also including a special selection of songs from previous releases. The after-party continues in the lobby with DJ Alenio of the Wave Riders! synthwave collective.
