Following the successful year two, The Kiosk premises will again be dedicated to visual artists under the age of 26. They will be presented individually in monthly exhibitions as part of the Young Artist Series 3.0.
October brings the first presentation: Eva Jakimoska, whose creative path began at Department of Illustration, Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Ljubljana. While studying, she started to take interest in other types of expressive arts, which is why she dropped out and began to acquire skills from her friends. Her everyday life began to revolve around dance, graffiti, and DJ-ing. She collaborates closely with GOR Association, whose mission has been to preserve and spread the hip hop culture among young and grown-up people. This year she began hosting her own radio show, Mishmash Mo!, which you can listen to each Monday at 8 pm on Radio Nula internet radio.
Despite having her days filled up, she never gave up fine art. In Ljubljana, her works have already been displayed in two exhibitions: her first solo exhibition was held this year in Plac Boris, Rog Factory, which was followed by another exhibition, entitled Jakimuž, in June in Bikofe, Ljubljana.
Kiosk in Kino Šiška is giving her the third opportunity to present her works to Ljubljana’s crowd, this time showing her sculptures. She wanted to experiment with materials that she had seldom used. In Kiosk, eight awesome little male and female figures will be given their own little terraria to dwell in during the exhibition. The artist warns that each material has its own features, and thereby its own associations, its own lives.
For the launch of the new Young Artist Series and of the exhibition Awesome people, Eva Jakimoska a.k.a. Ms.Fleva and her friends are promising an entertaining and fresh DJ programme.
