CONTROLLO REMOTO (Remote control)

Controllo Remoto is a show without the performers. The most important positions are taken up by other means of expression, such as the sound, lights, video and moving robots, using which the Italian team Ortographie thematises war in various historical periods and in the present time. The absence of the living human results in the anxious feeling inciting the apocalyptic atmosphere generating the threat that the press of a button is all it takes to begin a war. Controllo Remoto at the same time breaks with the taboo theatre convention that a performance should mean a simultaneous presence of the viewer and actor in the same space.
