THE STROJ collective percussion workshops

Participants will learn how to make percussion instruments from waste and other materials and eventually join their creative potential in a striking collective music approach.

By organizing the workshop, The Stroj collective wish to transfer their rich experience in music to younger generations and encourage their music creativity, in which listening, performing, imagination, dexterity and collectivism take equal parts. Workshop participants will also learn about the basic elements of stage performance and basics of acoustics and music technology.

Percussion workshops will be held in Kino Šiška each Monday in October and September. This time the programme is adapted to youth between 10 and 15 years of age, whereas workshop dates for other age groups will be announced later. The workshop will be conducted by Primož Oberžan, the founder and leader of The Stroj collective, instrument maker and percussionist with a long-standing career in music.
